Brahmani Yoga: Many thanks to Julie Martin's, Brahmani Yoga and her World Yoga Network.

Clive Sheridan: Has taught me some wonderful breath and bandha sequences and his stories of old India will rally your attention. His vitality, enthusiasm, humour and spirituality are a wonderful testament to Yoga.

Emil Wendel: I consider myself very fortunate to have met Emil, he is completely approachable, a real Yoga scholar and a wonderfully rounded teacher. He is humbly spreading the word around the world, that Yoga is something more than just Asana. He’ll get you breathing with aplomb and fire up your interest in the historical basis of Yoga via his fine discourses.

Iyengar Yoga teachers (countless), not least of which is John Leebold who spread the Iyengar word and method throughout Perth and lately around the world. Thanks to all those teachers who made their best attempts to straighten me out and whose methods helped bring in my wavering attention.

Kale Leaf: I’ve known Kale since 1990, he’s  a good friend and a great inspiration both on the mat and off. He has a wonderful feel for the Human system and what it might require from Yoga.  He’s an expert with props and Therapeutic Yoga and he knows his way around a meditation cushion too.

Monica Gauci & Gregor  Maehle:   These days I see them very rarely, but it was their quiet and dedicated presence on the floor above my Homoeopathic office almost 20 years ago that introduced me to the practise of Pattabhi’s  Ashtanga  Yoga.

My Students: Who since I began teaching have always been my greatest teachers and continue to allow me to share with them. Thanks!

O.P. Tiwari & Paul Dallaghan: A strong tradition in Yoga and in particular, Pranayama. Excellent instruction in Kriya, Bandha and pranayama, with both individualised attention and sequences given.

Simon Borg-Olivier: A man who isn’t afraid to explore and attempt to explain the link between science and Yoga. He has applied his vast knowledge of Human anatomy and physiology to Yoga and its practise. He has also written, along with Bianca Machliss, a very detailed and comprehensive, “Applied Anatomy & Physiology of Hatha Yoga”.

The Fremantle Yoga Centre: This is a wonderful place to both learn, practise and teach Yoga. Its timetable contains a full schedule with many experienced and very capable teachers. It has a great outlook to the Swan River and the Indian Ocean beyond and is within a beautiful old historic maritime building with trailing plants growing around its historic timber beams. I am forever grateful for being given the opportunity to teach and learn there. Thanks Kate.
